The B-Class: Heralding a new era in the compact class


Substantially more agile and efficient, but as comfortable and spacious as ever – the new B-Class from Mercedes-Benz is a winner on all fronts. The vehicle's lower height and more upright seating position provide for a first impression that hints at the compact sports tourer's dynamic credentials. The second generation of the B-Class car heralds a new compact class era at Mercedes-Benz in terms of both design and technology. The entire powertrain program is completely new: four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines with direct injection and turbocharging, dual clutch transmission and manual transmission. Several new assistance systems support the driver. In October 2011, the dynamic press launch takes place in Vienna. die Presse-Partner researched and wrote the texts for the press kit.

 

Automotive Star issue for the IAA 2011

More than 12,000 journalists have attended the Frankfurt motor show on the two press days in mid September. Those members of the media were the initial target group for the newspaper “The Automotive Star” in which Mercedes-Benz informs about the new models like B- and M-Class. die Presse-Partner realized the newspaper from scratch in two languages: English and German.

High-quality materials and superbly finished surfaces, fine details, precise workmanship and a new spaciousness – the interior of the B-Class raises the bar in the compact car segment. Many of the details or elements had previously been the sole preserve of higher-end vehicle segments and correspond to the new Mercedes-Benz design philosophy in terms of image and quality. For example, the dashboard may be covered with stitched ARTICO man-made leather. die Presse-Partner worked on the concept of the workshop and researched and wrote the texts for the press kit.

The smart ebike is going into series production. With this step, smart as a pioneer of local emission-free electric mobility is expanding its e-product portfolio. The smart ebike is being developed and built in cooperation with the renowned e-bike manufacturer GRACE, based near Berlin. The ebike will be launched in the first half of 2012 and will initially be marketed by dealers in Europe and North America. die Presse-Partner researched and wrote the press release.

The “Mercedes CLS magazine“ was distinguished with a silver award in the “BCP Best of Corporate Publishing Award“ competition 2011. The magazine developed and realized by die Presse-Partner in conjunction with the design agency designhochdrei was shortlisted in the category “Specials und Annuals/Corporate Magazines & Newspapers”. With over 630 applicants, BCP is the major corporate publishing competition in EuropeTogether with the leading trade publications acquisa, Horizont, w&v und der Schweizer Werbewoche, the Forum Corporate Publishing (FCP) rewards outstanding corporate publications in the German language since 2003.

Classic & Sports Car Germany

The world’s best-selling vintage car magazine, „Classic & Sports Car“, is now also published in German. For the first issue, die Presse-Partner have worked on the German editorial pages and have contributed the news section.

 



Special publications commemorating Honda’s anniversary

The word globalizing wasn’t invented yet, but Soichiro Honda already saw the advantages of a world-wide market. “Think globally, act locally”, he proclaimed. Consequently, Honda was the first Japanese manufacturer to found a European subsidiary. The European office was opened in Hamburg/Germany on 2 June 1961. 50 years later, Honda is celebrating its 50th anniversary in Germany with three special publications supplementing magazines of Motorpresse Stuttgart such as “Auto Motor & Sport”, “Motorrad” and “Men’s Health”. die Presse-Partner realized the oversized 12-page supplements presenting the current products of Honda as well as innovations and important historic milestones of the last 50 years.

 



Concept A-CLASS

At “Auto Shanghai 2011” (21 to 28 April), Mercedes-Benz presents its new star for the growing global premium compact car segment. The “Concept A-CLASS” study, which is one of the highlights of the leading Asian auto show, heralds the imminent arrival of an all-new generation of Mercedes-Benz compact cars. With expressive design and a host of technical innovations, the Concept A-CLASS – slogan: “The pulse of a new generation” – offers a glimpse of the forthcoming A-Class, which is scheduled for launch in Europe next year. As a world first in the compact class, the new models will be equipped with the radar-based Collision Prevention Assist as standard. The system lowers the risk of rear-end collisions. Automotive Star issue for the North American International Auto Show 2011

More than 4,500 journalists attended the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, January 10 to 23, 2011. These members of the media were the primary target group for the newspaper “The Automotive Star” wherein Mercedes-Benz informs about the new generation of the C-Class. die Presse-Partner realized the newspaper in English and German.

 



New generation of the Mercedes C-Class

The new C-Class to be launched in spring 2011 is a comprehensive modernization. The front and rear sections of this bestselling model received a more striking design. Together with the optional, high-resolution color display in the instrument cluster, the new dashboard with its elegant, grained surface and prominent decorative trim emphasizes the premium character of the interior. Fuel consumption has been lowered by up to 31 percent. die Presse-Partner researched and wrote all texts for the press kits for the static and the dynamic launch.
